Mt. Carmel Missions
REACHING THE WORLD
Our Missions
Proclaiming the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to those beyond the four walls of the local church (to include the community and abroad), by establishing believers in the faith to become disciples. Members are encouraged to participate in missions through prayer and finances.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” – Matthew 28:19

It is a privilege to serve the Lord. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to reach thousands of souls with the gospel of Christ. So, during our years of full time Christian service and Church planting ministry in Togo, West Africa the Lord has used us to establish Bible Believing Churches through His wondrous grace. We are planning to establish more Churches if the Lord tarries to come. As the ministry is expanding the work is overwhelming. We are reaching souls for Christ every week. Lots of souls are receiving Christ as their Savior throughout our ministry in Togo, West Africa. To God be the glory!

We are grateful for God’s grace as we serve in Ghana, West Africa. Despite challenges like storms and rough terrain, we continue our outreach and church planting work, recently launching Glory Baptist Church and hosting Vacation Bible Schools with over 100 children. There is continued praying for land for the new church, a ministry vehicle, and long-term support to plant 10 churches by 2032. VBS went well, with several children hearing the Gospel and some choosing Christ, though we hope to have more space next year. Glorious Hope Academy officially launched in September to serve children through third grade, but we’re still praying for resources and enrollment. Our ministry also includes preaching to over 1,000 children and training over 90 leaders in Bible teaching and evangelism.

John and Gladys Mihigo
My wife, Gladys, and I founded the Christian Unity Fellowship Church (CUF) in Uganda in 1993, and after the Rwandan genocide, I returned to Rwanda in 1994 and planted a church there, which I still pastor. CUF has now planted 10 churches across two African countries, all focused on sharing the Gospel and building communities of Bible-believing Christians. Our mission includes discipling new believers so they grow in their relationship with Christ and raise up servant leaders who will share the Gospel and multiply the ministry. Each church also prioritizes children’s discipleship through various programs. Our broader vision includes developing Christian schools, a Bible college, a vocational center, and a hospital. “Mihigo Hope,” part of our ministry, has already helped many children gain access to education, and everything we do is guided by core values like faith, integrity, humility, prayer, and compassion.

The main goals of the Maasailand Christian Ministries are to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and support the Maasai people. God is moving mightily in Maasailand and increasing us day by day and we are truly grateful. It is a blessing to share the word of God to the Maasai people. We have been able to host three consecutive conferences in three regions. Many churches are being planted and lives are being transformed. We are winning souls for the Kingdom and all praise, honor and glory belong to God. We thank God for our ministry partners and leadership and continue to solicit your prayers.
